"London Collections: Men" - Day 1
15th June, 2012
So, first day at London Collections: Men…
The first one of this kind here in London.
Three days of fashion shows, looks and trends all focused on Menswear.
And what a best occasion for A-Men to be there and celebrate its first week of birth with direct updates from the London Catwalks on what Spring 13 will bring to our looks.
The event is organised by GQ UK and had as main host Prince Charles, during an opening ceremony yesterday evening that saw many of the most established international designers here in the UK, such as Tom Ford and Christopher Bailey.
First day of fashion shows opened with TopMan.
Here on the left you can see the main look encompassing the whole philosophy of the UK brand.
(I know, it is not what can be defined “sartorial” but it is mainly high street look and quite convenient during these times of Depression…)
In particular, you can notice on these two looks I have selected for you the main trends of this CURRENT Spring12 (and possibly a follow-up next year during the SS13 Men’s fashion shows that will follow in the next few weeks also in Milan and Paris): shorts.
Shorts of different colours and patterns, to be used also with a suit jacket or a nice piece of outerwear (such as a suede or leather jacket, as the next picture shows).
But also, as your (hopefully) trusted blogger, together with 2 looks that could definitively be part of our wardrobe this and next season, I selected (and will select also for the next fashion shows… So stay tuned here…) the look that makes us scream: “Really!?! I don’t think so…).
And that is the third and last picture on this page.
So, stay tuned and will keep posting here some more images from this crazy London Men's days.
