London Collections: Men - Day 2

08th January, 2013

Christopher Shannon

Christopher Shannon surprised us today.

Who would have expected such a clean and at the same time detailed collection?

Very nice cuttings, mixed fabrics jackets and trousers, double or triple layers of clothing and shirts.

Our favorite pieces were the jackets with un-zipped sleeves and some of the double coloured knitwear.

It was an interesting, edging and at the same time very commercial collection, which can be easily sold in specialty stores, boutiques or bigger department stores.

We have selected here the looks we thought were most original and still quite sartorial. Clothes that everyone can wear and feeling "Londoner-ish", without compromising a clena and tidy look.

Oliver Spencer

Oliver Spencer's contribution to the London Collections: Men is always a key one in the three-day run.

Once again for AW13, the designer shows what he can do best: simple garments that put together can create the typical English modern dandy look.

From the dark military green jacket and trousers, paired up with purple and violet shirts, to the grey suit in wool, the amarena trousers and some A-line coats (the best one being a grey one with two wide light purple bands at the hem).

There is a lot of potential, and we see this brand becoming stronger and stronger season by season.
